Students who want to avail library facilities are advised to collect library membership card physically from Central Library and do the following formalities to get membership.

1. Collect and fill library membership card by him/herself then get it signed from Advisor & HOD.

2. Stitch one ticket size photograph of student on back of this card .

3. Fill library membership form at library.gndec.ac.in library form.

4. Fill National Digital Library registration form at www.library.gndec.ac.in/library form/ Registration for (NDL) National Digital Library.

5. Email is compulsory. It should be of student' own. On basis of this email e-library facility will be provided.

FIRST YEAR STUDENTS TO NOTE THAT THEY ARE WELCOME TO CENTRAL LIBRARY. I RECEIVED EMAILS FROM NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS REGARDING MEMBERSHIP OF CENTRAL LIBRARY. I CLARIFY THIS POINT AS GIVEN BELOW:

MEMBERSHIP

MEMBERSHIP WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHEN WE GET ROLL NUMBERS FROM ACADEMIC BRANCH. AS ADMISSION PROCESS WILL CONTINUE END OF NOVEMBER,2020 . IN FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER,2020 WE WILL TRY TO ENROL MEMBERSHIP. KINDLY REFER CENTRAL LIBRARY WEB PAGE (library.gndec.ac.in) UNDER NOTICE BOARD/LIBRARY BLOG.

SITTING IN CENTRAL LIBRARY

IT IS CLARIFY THAT WHEN COLLEGE WILL BE OPENED OFFICIALLY THEN STUDENTS CAN SIT IN MAIN READING HALL NEAR MAIN GATE. THEY CAN READ FROM THEIR OWN BOOKS IN THIS SECTION BUT LIBRARY SERVICES WILL BE GIVEN TO THEM AFTER ENROLMENT OF MEMBERSHIP.

IN OTHER AREA OF LIBRARY, PRIVATE BOOKS ARE NOT ALLOWED. STUDENTS CAN PICK UP OF REQUIRED BOOKS FROM BOOKS SHELVES AND READ IT THERE AND WHEN THEY WANT TO GO OUT, KEEP THESE BOOKS ON TABLE ONLY. DO NOT TRY TO REPLACE BOOK ON RACKS .

I HOPE, STUDENTS WILL COOPERATE WITH US. LIBRARY STAFF WILL TRY TO GIVE YOU LIBRARY SERVICE AT THE EARLIEST.

UG and PG students to note that books will be issued from central library as per following schedule. This schedule will be remained effective thoughout semester.

1. Books will be issued for 15 days as per rules but keep these books with you till requirement as there will no return / reissue of books. Try to get your maximum books as allowed at once.

Notice Students are directed to return library books which were issued from general section as well as out of book bank in the last semester till 03-09-2020 

New online semester is started from 10-08-2020 onwards. Those students who want to borrow books from Library, first they must return all books and clear their account then they can get books from Central Library Student must wear mask and sensitize their hands before enter the Library..

GNDEC students bring laurels in national-level contest: 26/02/2020

GNDEC students bring laurels in national-level contest: LUDHIANA

Students of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) secured third position in a nationallevel contest organised by the Institute for Steel Development and Growth (INSDAG) in Kolkata. As many as 87 students took part in the contest that included four rounds. Students Krishna Murari, Satinder Pal Singh and Siddharth Popli of the civil engineering branch of GNDEC bagged the third prize for their idea of innovative design of food grain godown with additions of certain new structural elements using steel as per the parameters given by INSDAG, Kolkata.
